The easiest way to reach The Crown is by car from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, about 30 minutes away. We’re happy to help arrange airport transfers with trusted local drivers to make your arrival seamless. Our address is 7XQG+QH6, Haddo, Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica, located just off Highway B8 in the hills of Haddo.
Is The Crown safe, and is there someone on-site to assist guests?
Yes, The Crown is secure and nestled in a welcoming community. A groundskeeper lives on-site, and Jahbi or Patricia are always nearby or available by phone to assist you during your stay.
What’s included in my stay—are meals or drinks provided?
Your stay includes your private suite, access to shared spaces like the kitchen, patio, and fitness area, and WiFi throughout the property. Meals and drinks are not included, but we’re happy to recommend local spots or arrange a private chef upon request.
Are there restaurants, shops, or markets within walking distance of The Crown?
Yes! Within a short walk you’ll find local fruit and vegetable markets, small shops, and authentic Jamaican eateries like Les Q’s Jamaican Jerk—perfect for sampling island flavors just steps away. Just a short drive brings you to Border Jerk, famous for its smoky, perfectly spiced jerk dishes, and a nearby local fish market where you can pick up the freshest catch for your own island feast.
How far is The Crown from popular beaches or attractions like Bluefields Beach or Negril?
Bluefields Beach is about 15 minutes away by car, perfect for a quick seaside escape with local charm. Negril’s iconic Seven Mile Beach, known for its white sands and turquoise waters, can be reached in about 45 minutes, offering a vibrant atmosphere with restaurants, beach bars, and breathtaking sunsets. We’re also close to unique spots like Abeokuta Paradise Nature Park, Rocklands Bird Sanctuary, and Jamaica Giants Sculpture Park.
Do I need a car to get around, or can I rely on local transportation or taxis?
While having a rental car can give you the freedom to explore the area at your own pace, it’s not required. The Crown offers its own van, available for hire to pick you up or drop you off at the airport and for transportation to local excursions or attractions. Let us know in advance if you’d like to arrange these services—we’re here to make your travel as easy and comfortable as possible.
Is WiFi reliable, and will I have cell phone service during my stay?
Yes—WiFi is available throughout the property, and most guests find it reliable for work, streaming, and staying connected. Major Jamaican cell networks also offer coverage in Haddo. We recommend contacting your mobile service provider before your trip to inquire about international coverage options or roaming packages that include Jamaica..
What should I pack for my visit—are there essentials guests often forget?

Suites are not air-conditioned but are designed to take advantage of cool mountain breezes, with ceiling and/or standing fans provided for comfort.
Can The Crown accommodate guests with mobility needs or disabilities?
Yes—our Morning Mist Suite features a wheelchair-accessible shower and offers easier access to shared spaces. The entire grounds have been thoughtfully designed to be welcoming to guests regardless of mobility needs, including the garden, open-air kitchen and dining area, and the future pool. The only exception is the Coco Lounge, which may have limited accessibility. Please contact us with your specific needs so we can make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Is The Crown family-friendly, and are there activities for children?
Absolutely! Families with children are welcome. Kids love exploring the garden, spotting local wildlife, and enjoying nearby beaches or waterfalls with their families.

Haddo enjoys warm, tropical weather year-round with refreshing mountain breezes. A light rain shower is common almost every day, adding to the lush beauty of the area—so pack a light rain jacket or umbrella. December through April is typically the driest and most popular season, but each time of year offers unique beauty and experiences.
